MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Over 40 issues related to Eurasian economic integration were discussed at the meeting of the EEC Council, BelTA learned from the government press service.

Deputy Prime Minister Natalya Petkevich held the meeting via videoconference.

The agenda included technical regulations, customs and tariffs, product labeling, exchange trade, energy sector, transport policy and other areas of activity.

All members of the EEC Council supported Belarus’ initiative to expand the list of goods covered by the rules for determining the origin of goods in state and municipal procurement.

After the entry into force of this decision, manufacturers of the EAEU member states (lasers, microdisplays, circuits for anesthesia and respiratory devices, parts of railway locomotives and other products) will have unimpeded access to government procurement of the EAEU member states.

A decision has been made to create a new Eurasian technology platform for the development of robotics, production and introduction of industrial robots in the Eurasian Economic Union.
