MOSCOW, 1 April (BelTA) – The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has approved the draft agreement on auditing activities in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), BelTA learned from the EEC press service.
“This is the key document aimed at creating a common market for auditing services that provides for common approaches to regulating these activities,” the press service stressed. “Under the agreement, qualification certificates issued in one member of the EAEU will be recognized in other member states. This will help expand opportunities for companies, improve investment attractiveness and effectiveness of audit companies of the EAEU member states,” the press service added.
“Once the agreement enters into force, auditors and audit companies of one EAEU country will be allowed to provide services in other EAEU member states and auditors' reports issued in one member state will be recognized in the other ones,” Member of the EEC Board (Minister) for Economy and Financial Policy Ruslan Beketayev explained.
The EEC Council is set to review and approve the agreement at its next meeting. After that, the agreement will be sent to the EAEU member states for domestic procedures that precede the signing of the document.
