MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) - Belarus continues to experience strong wage growth, BelTA learned from the macroeconomic review of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
In the non-budget sector, wages continue to rise despite a tight labor market. Although employment inched up by 0.2% in April, the number of job vacancies is also growing.
"In April 2025, real wages in Belarus increased by 10.4%, following an 11.8% rise in March. In the public sector, real wages grew by 11.3%. It is expected that the rapid wage growth in this sector will continue, driven by government decisions to further increase additional allowances for certain categories of public sector workers," the EDB noted.
"Under these conditions, we expect that the strong real wage growth will continue in 2025," the EDB said.
