MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) - The international environmental exhibition Ecology Expo 2025 will take place from 19 to 21 August at the Minsk International Exhibition Center under the slogan “Green Innovations for a Sustainable Future”, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Ivan Prikhodko said at a press conference, BelTA has learned.
“This is already the third edition of the exhibition, which we hold biennially. Ecology Expo draws the attention of the international business community. Key events will feature foreign speakers and guests, highlighting its global significance and facilitating valuable knowledge exchange. We expect participants from Brazil, Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Russia, and Uzbekistan, with the list expanding daily. Notably, Russia will be represented at both federal and regional levels,” Ivan Prikhodko said.
According to the deputy minister, visitors and participants can expect an exhibition that charts the path toward a sustainable ecological future. “The goals of Ecology Expo include creating a unique platform for showcasing innovations, sharing best practices, and presenting cutting-edge environmental technologies for the rational use of natural resources. It aims to enhance the economic benefits of eco-friendly technologies through integrated implementation, while also displaying high-tech innovations and ready-made solutions. The exhibition will serve as a showcase for environmental advancements, bringing together government officials, business leaders, environmental experts, scientists, and developers to discuss key issues in green economy development, exchange best practices, and demonstrate achievements in environmental protection,” he emphasized.
The upcoming exhibition will feature key thematic areas including sustainable development technologies, eco-friendly construction, waste management and recycling, green transportation, eco-living, sustainable food and packaging, ecotourism, environmental education, ecological research, and water resource conservation. An eco-market will also operate alongside the main event. “Each sector will present not just information but real-world case studies, innovative ideas, and partnership opportunities. Attendees will discover applied tools and proven solutions across all environmental fields. The event will feature three interactive zones demonstrating environmental education through engaging formats. These will highlight work by educational institutions, UN Sustainable Development Goals youth ambassadors, eco-volunteers, and youth organizations. The program includes presentations on ecological education systems, teaching methodologies, and best practices for engaging young people in environmental movements and promoting sustainable lifestyles,” Ivan Prikhodko said.
“This is not merely an exhibition but a focal point where concrete solutions to modern environmental challenges will be discussed. We anticipate participation will exceed 180 exhibitors, approximately 50 more than at our previous event. This remarkable growth clearly demonstrates increasing global interest in our platform and solidifies its position as a premier event in the environmental sector. Such expanded scale creates unprecedented opportunities for dialogue, partnership development, and showcasing the most current industry trends,” the deputy minister said.
The exhibition will feature an intensive business program including an open session of the Waste Management Coordination Council under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, a scientific-practical conference on advancing Belarusian-Russian cooperation in transboundary water resource management, and a discussion platform examining how unilateral coercive measures impact national and international environmental policies. Another key session will focus on Belarus' Third Nationally Determined Contribution to the Paris Agreement. The program will also feature roundtables on fostering corporate environmental responsibility through regional educational initiatives, emerging trends in ecotourism development, and a specialized seminar on digital transformation in environmental management and natural resource utilization.
To ensure visitor convenience, special public transportation routes will operate during the event, including bus 912E from Akademiya Nauk metro station and bus 962E from Pushkinskaya metro station.
The exhibition is jointly organized by the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection and the BelExpo National Exhibition Center.
