EAEU's cooperation with CIS, Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America discussed in Moscow

MOSCOW, 5 October (BelTA) - Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the cooperation of the Eurasian Economic Union with the countries of the CIS, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America during a meeting in Moscow on 5 October, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement, BelTA has learned.

"In the context of the upcoming chairmanship of the Russian Federation in the Eurasian Economic Union in 2023, the parties discussed the EAEU's international activities, including its interaction with third countries and international associations. Special consideration was given to the prospects for cooperation between the EAEU and the states of the CIS, Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Latin America," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The parties lauded the effectiveness of joint work to promote the EAEU as one of the centers of integration of the Greater Eurasian Partnership in the context of an emerging multipolar world order.

"The EAEU positioning in the international mass media and youth policy were also on the agenda. The parties agreed to maintain working contacts on the integration agenda," the Russian Foreign Ministry added.
