EAEU summit agenda revealed

MOSCOW, 19 October (BelTA) - The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will meet in person in Yerevan on 20-21October, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

"The heads of government of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union will discuss the sources and mechanisms for financing industrial cooperation projects within the framework of the EAEU, the issues of eliminating obstacles in the EAEU internal market, the development of an integrated information system of the EAEU," the press service noted. “The Eurasian Economic Commission will brief the members of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council about the preparation of the international agreements on the formation of common markets for gas, oil and petroleum products, the status of industrial cooperation in the EAEU, the possibilities for participation of the EAEU countries in the Russian industrial zone in the Suez Canal economic zone.

The Eurasian Intergovernmental Council will also consider the state of intra-union trade in 2021, joint import substitution projects implemented by the EAEU states, the first package of EAEU activities within the framework of the climate agenda, and distribution of paid import customs duties between the budgets of the EAEU states in 2021.

"In order to develop e-commerce of warehouse certificates for agricultural products in the EAEU, an agreement on the rules for such certificates will be signed in Yerevan," the press service added.
