EAEU holds consultations on common markets of gas, oil, petroleum products

MOSCOW, 19 March (BelTA) - The countries of the Eurasian Economic Union held consultations on the common energy markets, BelTA learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission. 

"The deputy heads of the authorized bodies of the Eurasian Economic Union countries discussed a number of issues related to the formation of the common energy markets at the EEC headquarters on 15 and 18 March. The meeting on the development of mutually acceptable solutions and convergence of positions was chaired by Director of the EEC Energy Department Vadim Zakrevsky in the run up to the meetings of the EAEU bodies on the formation of the EAEU common markets for gas, oil and petroleum products," the press service said.

The parties had a constructive exchange of views on the remaining unresolved issues regarding the draft international treaties on the common gas market, common markets for oil and petroleum products of the Eurasian Economic Union. "The participants of the meeting noted the importance of convergence of approaches and the need for early adoption of final decisions at a high level," the press service added.
