EAEU, CIS to draw up joint plan for transport corridors until 2030

 MOSCOW, 8 August (BelTA) - The CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission intent to draw up a joint plan for the development of transport corridors until 2030. This EEC initiative was discussed at a meeting between Member of the Board (Minister) for Energy and Infrastructure of the Eurasian Economic Commission Arzybek Kozhoshev and Gennady Bessonov, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the CIS Transport Coordination Session, BelTA learned from the EEC press service. 

The parties noted the work done to develop transport infrastructure within the EAEU and CIS and reaffirmed their commitment to expanding cooperation in coordinating the development of Eurasian transport corridors and international transport corridors passing through the territories of the EAEU and CIS countries.

"The parties agreed on the need to prepare a joint action plan based on the  memorandums concluded between the EEC and the CIS Executive Committee, taking into account the action plan for 2023-2025 to the memorandum on cooperation between the EEC and the CIS Executive Committee. Arzybek Kozhoshev proposed to prepare such a document until 2030," the press service informed.
