Cooperation between Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast and Belarus seen as promising

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Cooperation with Belarus holds a great potential, Governor of Russia's Chelyabinsk Oblast Aleksei Teksler said during a meeting with Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, BelTA has learned.

The head of the Russian region thanked the Belarusian side for the warm welcome that the delegation had a chance to appreciate during a few days of visit to the country. The delegation includes more than 60 people, including representatives of 23 enterprises from large to medium and small.

"Our ties have always been close and Belarus is one of our most active partners in various areas, primarily, of course, in trade and economic cooperation. Still the potential of cooperation is huge," Aleksei Teksler said. “We see that our cooperation holds a great potential, especially given the current challenges. I concur with you that we will be able to step up trade and economic ties thanks to the work that we are doing today."

The governor also noted the desire to develop humanitarian, cultural, educational ties with Belarus.
