ST PETERSBURG, 30 March (BelTA) – Contracts worth RUB1 billion have been signed as a result of the Belarusian food forum in St Petersburg, BelTA learned from Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko on 30 March.
Roman Golovchenko said: “I can summarize results of the visit. Contracts are already available. We started the visit by participating in the Belarusian food forum yesterday. I am told that our enterprises and St Petersburg-based companies, primarily retail chains, signed contracts worth about RUB1 billion as a result of yesterday alone.”
The Belarusian food forum is the first event of the kind held in the Russian Federation. The food forum combines a conference involving a large number of representatives of the expert community, Russia's top federal and regional retail chains, representatives of hospitality and catering businesses with a mini exhibition, a tasting event (meals cooked by professionals using Belarusian foods), and B2B negotiations.
