MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – Belarus has harvested 33.500 hectares planted to colza or 79.9% of the target, BelTA learned from the Agriculture and Food Ministry.
As of 30 August, 2.06 million hectares of grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn) were harvested, or almost 97% of the target. Some 6.323 million tonnes of grain were threshed. Minsk Oblast is leading with over 1.6 million tonnes. Brest Oblast goes second with 1.2 million tonnes and is followed by Grodno Oblast (over 1.1 million tonnes), Mogilev Oblast (853,700 tonnes), Gomel Oblast (781,600 tonnes) and Vitebsk Oblast (774,600 tonnes).
The Belarusian government has procured 762,700 tonnes of grain, which accounts for 91.8% of the country's grain procurement target for 2021.
