Chambers of commerce, industry of Belarus, Iran sign cooperation agreement

MINSK, 22 November (BelTA) – The chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Iran have signed a cooperation agreement, BelTA has learned.

According to Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mikhail Myatlikov, the signing of the agreement will give a new impulse to the advancement of relations between Belarus and Iran.

The official said: “We highly appreciate friendly relations with our colleagues. Today we've discussed a number of important matters concerning various avenues of cooperation. In particular, we touched upon the matter of transport corridors.”

In January-September 2022 Belarus-Iran trade totaled $63.6 million (2.9 times up from the same period of 2021), with export at $48.6 million (4.4 times up) and import at $15 million (41.8% up). Belarus secured a foreign trade surplus of $33.6 million.
