MINSK, 14 May (BelTA) - Active business interaction promotes trade between Belarus and Tatarstan, Deputy Chairwoman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) Yelena Malinovskaya said at a working meeting with Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tatarstan Shamil Ageev on the sidelines of KazanForum 2025 in Kazan, BelTA learned from the BelCCI press service.
“The Republic of Tatarstan is a strategic partner of Belarus. The parties attach enormous importance to close contacts, direct substantive interaction, and as a result, breakthrough cooperation projects. The most important initiatives of recent years have been large-scale projects in machine building,” said Yelena Malinovskaya.
For example, a project to set up a single multi-brand sales and service center for Belarusian products (automotive and agricultural machinery, tractor parts and units, and engines) - one of three set up in Russia - is being implemented at Trading and Production Company MTZ-Tatarstan (TPC MTZ-Tatarstan). The implementation of the agreement on long-term cooperation between the Industry Ministry of Belarus and KAMAZ is also in full swing. It envisages the expansion of mass production and supplies of products by the enterprises of the Industry Ministry.
According to the deputy chairwoman, the trade between Belarus and Tatarstan exceeded $900 million in 2024. “Active business interaction and also with the direct participation of the chambers of commerce and industry of the parties contributes to the growing trade and the search for new points of growth. Belarusian enterprises are regular participants in exhibitions held in the Republic of Tatarstan,” she emphasized.
Yelena Malinovskaya also invited the representatives of the region to take part in the first international industrial exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus, which is due to take place in Minsk on 29 September- 1 October.
