
MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Gomel Oblast’ delegation, currently visiting Kazakhstan, met with business circles of Kazakhstan in Astana on 17 April, the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee told BelTA.
The Belarusian delegation showcased the industrial potential of Gomel Oblast to Kazakhstan’s business representatives. Leaders of organizations and enterprises of Belarus presented their products, which are exported to dozens of countries worldwide, and discussed opportunities for cooperation.
During the business meeting, Gomselmash, Spartak, Zhlobin Meat Processing Plant, Rogachev Dairy Plant, Rechitsadrev and other Gomel-based manufacturers expressed readiness to supply their products, increase sales volumes and implement joint projects. Head of the Gomel-Raton free economic zone administration Antonina Yezhova described the advantages of the zone’s residents and offered Kazakhstan’s partners to establish mutually beneficial cooperation.
The business meeting also featured the signing of several bilateral documents. The Gomel branch of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry concluded a cooperation agreement with the Foreign Trade Chamber of Kazakhstan. Zhlobin Meat Processing Plant signed a letter of intent to cooperate with the New Life Product company. A dealer agreement was also concluded between Gomeloblagroservice and the Trading House Belorusskiy Traktor. Rechitsadrev signed additional agreements with Asem-Nur and Distributor.
The Belarusian delegation led by Gomel Oblast Governor Ivan Krupko visited Kazakhstan’s Karaganda Oblast on 15-16 April. Several cooperation documents were signed during the visit.
