Broad money supply in Belarus up by 2.5% in May

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) – As of 1 June 2022 the broad money supply in Belarus amounted to Br52.522 billion, up by 2.5% from 1 May, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB). Broad money supply includes cash in circulation and bank accounts of individuals and corporations.

Cash in circulation rose by 0.2% to Br5.608 billion in May.

Transferable deposits went up by 2.2% to Br6.855 billion.

The money supply in national terms amounted to Br23.916 billion, up by 4.2% in May.

The volume of national currency securities issued by banks (outside bank circulation) contracted by 7.5% in March to Br1.657 billion.

The ruble money supply amounted to Br25.573 billion as of 1 June, up by 3.3% from 1 May.

The volume of foreign currency deposits rose by 1.3% to Br25.878 billion.
