Broad money supply in Belarus down by 0.6% in June

MINSK, 14 July (BelTA) – As of 1 July 2021 the broad money supply in Belarus amounted to Br49.477 billion, down by 0.6% from 1 June, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB). Broad money supply includes cash in circulation and bank accounts of individuals and corporations.

Cash in circulation rose by 2.8% to Br4.317 billion in June.

Transferable deposits went up by 6.8% to Br6.164 billion. Transferable deposits of individuals increased by 9.5% to Br3.064 billion as of 1 July. Deposits of companies went up by 4.1% to Br3.099 billion.

The money supply in national terms amounted to Br20.026 billion, up by 2.7% in June.

The volume of national currency securities issued by banks (outside bank circulation) increased by 5.7% in June to Br1.67 billion.

The ruble money supply amounted to Br21.696 billion as of 1 July, up by 2.9% from 1 June.

The volume of foreign currency deposits edged down by 3.3% to Br26.325 billion.
