MINSK, 12 August (BelTA) – As of 1 August 2022 the broad money supply in Belarus amounted to Br53.851 billion, down 0.1% from 1 July, BelTA learned from the National Bank of the Republic of Belarus (NBRB). Broad money supply includes cash in circulation and bank accounts of individuals and corporations.
Cash in circulation rose by 2.9% to Br6.008 billion in July.
Transferable deposits went up by 0.5% to Br7.658 billion.
The money supply in national terms amounted to Br24.778 billion, down 1% in July.
The volume of national currency securities issued by banks (outside bank circulation) rose by 2.9% to Br1.632 billion in July.
The ruble money supply amounted to Br26.410 billion as of 1 August, down 4% from 1 July.
The volume of foreign currency deposits rose by 0.9% to Br26.547 billion.
