Benin shows interest in Belarusian dairy products

MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) – The Republic of Benin, West Africa is interested in supplies of Belarusian dairy products, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

Agriculture and Food Minister Igor Brylo held a working meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Benin to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Akambi Andre Okunlola-Biau.

“Benin produces cotton, corn, mangoes, cashews. The country is interested in increasing its production and purchase of Belarusian dairy products. The parties considered the prospects of developing bilateral cooperation and Belarus' consultations in agriculture,” the press service said.

The parties also talked over the participation of Benin's delegation in the Prodexpo 2022 exhibition, during which the guests would be able to get familiar with the issues of interest in the Belarusian agriculture, and continue negotiations.
