Beltamozhservice to build logistics hub in China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone

MINSK, 3 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian customs service facilitation company Beltamozhservice intends to build a transportation and logistics hub in the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone, BelTA learned from Beltamozhservice Director General Vadim Babarikin after the company was registered as a resident in the industrial park.

As a new resident of the China-Belarus industrial park Beltamozhservice intends to implement a massive investment project, which envisages the construction of a transportation and logistics hub. Vadim Babarikin said: “The purpose of the project is to develop and expand the complex of logistic services of the export and import variety. The establishment of the logistics hub in the rapidly developing industrial park Great Stone will allow the facility to become one of the mainstays of the Silk Road Economic Belt and serve as a communication link between countries. Logistics is an important part of business these days. Even more so in Belarus-China relations. Modern transport infrastructure will be built in the park. It will meet all the requirements and types of freight the park handles.”

According to Beltamozhservice, the new logistics hub will be located in close proximity to the Minsk National Airport. The hub will be a universal multimodal terminal capable of consolidating and processing various categories of cargoes transported by road, by air, and by rail. Railway infrastructure is closely located to the future hub. It allows connecting railway traffic routes going to Russia and other Eurasian Economic Union countries as well as remote countries.

According to Vadim Babarikin, Beltamozhservice is now considering all the freight shipment directions. “Trade logistics is rapidly changing. We are expanding cooperation with countries. New partners are appearing. Among other countries we work with Türkiye, Persian Gulf countries, India, China,” he concluded.
