Belneftekhim working towards signing oil agreement with Kazakhstan

MINSK, 17 October (BelTA) – The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim is working on resolving all the issues standing in the way of signing an oil agreement with Kazakhstan, BelTA learned from Belneftekhim Deputy Chairman Vladimir Sizov during the 2nd international science, technology and investment forum on chemical engineering and oil and gas processing Petro 2019 on 17 October.

When asked whether the agreement may be signed in October 2019, the official said: “We expect it may happen. We are doing our best to address all the issues standing in the way of signing this agreement and prepare it for signing.”

BelTA reported earlier that Belarus intends to sign an intergovernmental agreement on oil deliveries with Kazakhstan in October 2019. It will stipulate delivery terms but not delivery volumes. Oil may be delivered from Kazakhstan via the common system of main oil pipelines or by rail.
