Belneftekhim expects sanctions to affect workers, their families more than enterprises

MINSK, 20 April (BelTA) – American sanctions will affect ordinary workers and their families more than they will affect enterprises, representatives of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim told BelTA.

Belneftekhim said: “This unfriendly step on the part of the U.S. administration is absolutely unjustified, unreasonable, and has no chance of success. Unfortunately, we are forced to state that the sanctions will affect worker collectives, common workers, and their families more than they will affect enterprises. The sanctions are also equally designed to affect the country's budget, which caters to interests of ordinary people and poorly protected population strata, including social tasks and projects of vital importance in Belarus.”

Belneftekhim also stressed that Belarusian petrochemical enterprises understand that even in these conditions there are no reasons to stop protecting their worker collectives, keep working and satisfying the domestic market and consumers with all the necessary products and raw materials as much as possible.
