Bellegprom urged to saturate Belarusian market with high-quality products at affordable prices

MINSK, 4 August (BelTA) - It is important for Bellegprom to saturate the market with high-quality products at an affordable prices, Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova said during a meeting on the operation of the Belarusian light industry concern Bellegprom, BelTA learned from the Council of the Republic.

What is expected of Bellegprom and Belarusian enterprises today are effective work and market saturation, Natalya Kochanova said. "Our enterprises make good products, without a doubt. The president has tasked us with price controls. We all understand that in these difficult conditions the price factor is very important, so we will keep tabs on this," Natalya Kochanova said.

Belarusian enterprises manufacture high-quality goods. "But people are not very aware of this, we don't promote our products much. We must saturate the market with good, high-quality products at affordable prices. We need to buy Belarusian brands. These are our labor teams, their hard work and this is salaries," she stressed.

Natalya Kochanova spoke about Kamvol fabrics producer. The state has invested heavily in the modernization of the enterprise, so it is especially important that Belarusian apparel is made from fabrics produced by Kamvol.

The issue of fees for renting retail space in retail chains in Belarus was raised during the meeting. "The president demanded that rent fees for Bellegprom in all retail chains of the country should be the same as in the Stolitsa shopping mall. By the decision of the government rent fees have been reduced to make it more attractive to customers. Now a decision will be made on retail chains and the rent fees will be reduced. Enterprises affiliated with Bellegprom will be provided with retail space at a reduced cost," she informed.

According to Natalya Kochanova, it is important to promote Belarusian brands and make them more visible to customers. "Everything depends on us: once we respect ourselves, our goods and manufacturers, this will be noticed. Let's set our own trend and promote it. Believe me, it will work," she summed up.
