Belgospishcheprom's exports up by 15% in 2021

MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) – Enterprises affiliated with the Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom increased their exports by 15% in 2021, Deputy Chairman of the concern Aleksandr Yakovchits said at the opening of the Food Prom Consulting business forum, BelTA has learned.

“Last year, the enterprises of the concern did quite well in foreign markets by posting a 15% growth. In particular, exports to China rose by 60%, to the European Union by 7%. Shipments to the Gulf countries also increased,” Aleksandr Yakovchits said.

According to him, these are very good results given that it is quite difficult now to work in foreign markets due to the COVID-19 pandemic, when many countries are closing their markets and giving priority to local producers.

More than 20 enterprises of the confectionery, oil and fat, canning, alcohol, sugar and other industries are taking part in the Food Prom Consulting business forum. The event is themed around strategy, research, communications in modern conditions. Experts in marketing, investment and consulting will tell food manufacturers about effective product promotion solutions, development and implementation of growth strategies, modern methods and cases of marketing research. The program includes presentations on brand development and work with bloggers.
