MINSK, 30 March (BelTA) - The Belarusian car manufacturer BelGee plans to produce 37,000 cars in 2022, Belarusian Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik told BelTA.
Last year, BelGee completely refreshed the model range, produced the 100,000thcar. Under the electric transport development program, the company marketed the first batch of 50 electric vehicles in 2021 and plans to supply 1,000 electric cars of the Geometry C model this year.
Components are traditionally supplied by the Borisov-based engine factory Geely, Belshina, 1AK-GROUP. "The company's strategy is to use components produced on the territory of the Union State, as envisaged in the Belarusian-Russian cooperation programs," the minister said.
As for the market reach, BelGee is looking to tap into the markets of Kazakhstan, Moldova and Serbia.
