MINSK, 21 May (BelTA) – The Belarusian car manufacturer BelGee has increased car sales in the Belarusian market, BelGee Director General Gennady Svidersky told the media on the sidelines of the second business conference “Industrial Complex of Belarus: Export, Import Independence, Effective Management” in Minsk on 20 May, BelTA has learned.
The beginning of the year was not easy for the passenger car market, said Gennady Svidersky. Nevertheless, in January-April 2025, BelGee maintained the level of deliveries at the level of last year and increased sales in the Belarusian market. “Last year we sold more than 25,000 cars to end customers in the Belarusian market. This year we are exceeding this figure. We plan to sell 30,000 cars. I think the sales in the first half of the year will be about 15,000 cars,” he said.
BelGee is currently modernizing its painting and welding lines, which is a large investment project. Next year the car factory plans to launch a stamping line for large-size parts, which will significantly reduce logistics costs.
As for localization plans, the factory has already started the production of large-size plastic castings and has almost completed the work on soundproofing and launching the production of mechanical parts.
