MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) - The Mogilev Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sughd Region of Tajikistan signed a cooperation agreement. The document was signed during a business meeting of business representatives of Mogilev Oblast and Sughd Region, BelTA learned from the website of the BelCCI Mogilev Office.
The meeting was held within the framework of the visit of the Sughd Region delegation to Belarus led by head of the region Rajabboy Ahmadzoda. On behalf of Tajikistan the meeting was attended by the heads of seven major companies of the region and Director General of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Sughd Region Muhammadjon Muhamedjonov. Belarus was represented by the Mogilev enterprises of light and timber industries, mechanical engineering, dairy and meat, confectionery and bakery sectors. "The parties expressed interest in establishing contacts in trade in finished products and raw materials and exploring options to implementing joint projects," the chamber said.
OAO Mogilev Plant Strommashina and ZAO Nord Asia Metal agreed to sign an agreement of intent to implement a project to manufacture asbestos cement boards.
