BelCCI: Belarusian enterprises show big interest in cooperation with Brazil

MINSK, 19 March (BelTA) - Yelena Malinovskaya, Deputy Chairwoman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI), met with Bernard Jorg Leopold de Garcia Klingl, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brazil to Belarus, to discuss the development of trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation, establishment of interaction between the chambers of both countries, BelTA learned from the BelCCI press service.

“We attach great importance to the development of comprehensive cooperation with Brazil. I am convinced that the expansion of the range of supplies of both Belarusian goods to Brazil and Brazilian goods to Belarus corresponds to the interests of the two countries,” said Yelena Malinovskaya. The countries have the potential for diversification of imports and exports of goods and services, cooperation in the exchange of experience and technology transfer, which could facilitate cooperation in such areas as agriculture, industry, healthcare, and information technology.

Yelena Malinovskaya noted the significant interest of Belarusian enterprises in cooperation with Brazil. In this regard, a proposal was made to organize a meeting of the ambassador with business representatives of Belarus at the BelCCI.

According to Bernard Jorg Leopold de Garcia Klingl, such a meeting will make it possible to talk comprehensively about the current interaction between Belarus and Brazil, promising areas of trade and economic cooperation, the investment climate, and doing business in Brazil.

The parties discussed the possibilities of developing cooperation between the chambers of commerce and industry of Belarus and Brazil. As of today, the BelCCI has several agreements with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of Brazil and the Belarus-Brazil Chamber of Commerce and Industry. However, such interaction has not been permanent in recent years. In this regard, a proposal was voiced to intensify inter-chamber cooperation in order to expand the business interest of Belarus and Brazil.

Yelena Malinovskaya also suggested hosting delegations of Brazilian business representatives in Belarus and combine their visit with participation in the largest international exhibition Belagro to be held in Minsk in June 2025.
