MINSK, 20 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Architecture and Construction Minister Ruslan Parkhamovich talked about the beginning of construction at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, Russia on the air of the TV channel Mir24, BelTA has learned.
Speaking about the beginning of construction at the Vostochny Cosmodrome, the official noted that the Belarusian side had reviewed all the documents sent by Russia. It was decided to begin construction with residential premises, which are already being built, and proceed in accordance with development plans later on. After that Belarusian construction workers will move to the cosmodrome construction site. “Over there we will take care of construction of launch sites and specialized buildings,” Ruslan Parkhamovich explained. “It is a complicated yet interesting construction project. I think Belarusian construction workers can handle it.”
Ruslan Parkhamovich added that construction workers will have to pass qualification exams. “Only the top-qualification personnel with experience of building not only basic structures but serious industrial installations will go to the cosmodrome. This is why the selection process will be very serious,” he said.
