Belarusian Transport Week to open in Minsk on 1 October

MINSK, 5 September (BelTA) – The Belarusian Transport Week will kick off at the Football Manege in Minsk on 1 October. The event will focus on the development of the national transport and logistics system using comprehensive innovative solutions, BelTA learned from the organizers of the event.

The international transport and logistics forum will include the themed exhibition Transport and Logistics and a lot of business events.

The exhibition will bring together over 70 organizations from six countries (Belarus, Russia, Austria, Poland, Lithuania, and Latvia), including transport, logistics, and shipping companies, transport and logistics centers, automobile manufacturers, suppliers of equipment for logistics centers, insurance companies, ports and railway administrations from the CIS and other countries. The exhibition will feature not only individual stands of companies but also collective stands of Latvian companies, the Port of Klaipeda, port management companies, and the Belarusian association of international road carriers BAMAP.

The plenary session of the forum will touch upon the global experience of developing the transport and logistics sector, ways to make the Belarusian transport and logistics system more competitive, and areas of the development of international cooperation. The program of the forum also includes events dedicated to automation of international container transportation, electric transport, intelligent transport technologies, and safety of passenger transportation.

During the Belarusian Transport Week, the first results of the contest of innovative projects Belarus ICT StartUp Award 2020 will be summed up.

The Belarusian Transport Week has been held annually since 2007. The event is organized by the Belarusian Transport and Communications Ministry in association with other partners.
