MINSK, 9 February (BelTA) – It takes about 7,000 parts and components to make a tractor, the press service of the Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ told BelTA.
According to the source, the company buys approximately 4,500 parts and components from third parties.
“The list of the suppliers is not set in stone but our main partners are enterprises run by the holding company MTZ as well as other Belarusian manufacturers and manufacturers from Russia and China,” explained representatives of OAO MTZ’s Office for the Promotion and Sales of Spare Parts. “We sign direct contracts on the delivery of parts with major vendors. The smaller ones are acquired via technical centers or proprietary shops that exist virtually in every region of the country.”
