Belarusian state petrochemical concern operating steadily despite external pressure

MINSK, 31 January (BelTA) – Enterprises run by the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim are operating steadily despite external pressure, BelTA learned from Belneftekhim Chairman Andrei Rybakov.

The official said: “If we talk about 2021, the performance was affected by certain pressure of external factors: all the five waves of sanctions affected Belneftekhim enterprises and the concern itself, the oil market demonstrated great volatility, and all of it affected the work of our enterprises. At the same time Belarusian petrochemical enterprises are operating steadily, not a single enterprise was idle for a day.”

Andrei Rybakov stressed that Belneftekhim's performance was decent in 2021. The output was larger than that in 2020. “The export growth rate demonstrated a considerable increase, too, this is why we are starting 2022 with good results and a good headstart. We expect this year to be even better than the previous one,” the Belneftekhim head noted.

The Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim is one of the largest industrial groups in Belarus. Belneftekhim makes over 500 kinds of petrochemical and chemical products. Belneftekhim enterprises perform all the services involved in oil prospecting and extraction, oil transportation, oil processing, and sales of petrochemical products. Belarusian oil refineries boast a high crude oil conversion index. The quality of the products meets world standards. Belneftekhim enterprises export products to over 100 countries across the globe. Over 70% of Belneftekhim's output is exported.
