Belarusian state food concern presents products in Shanghai

MINSK, 5 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian state food industry concern Belgospishcheprom presents the largest stand in the national pavilion at the 4th China International Import Expo in Shanghai on 5-10 November, the concern's press service told BelTA.

Products made by 12 Belgospishcheprom companies are on display. Those are Kommunarka, Slodych, Spartak, Krasny Pischevik, Minsk Sparkling Wines Factory, Gorodeya Sugar Refinery, Malorita Canning and Vegetable Drying Plant, OAO Gamma Vkusa, Minsk Margarine Plant, OAO Minsk Kristall, and OAO Krinitsa.

The Belarusian companies put on display their best foods and beverages, including those adapted to suit the tastes of Chinese customers: sugar-free chocolate, premium-quality chocolate candies, marmalade, marshmallows and biscuits from organic raw materials, special types of beer with aromas of tropical fruits, 69% proof and 77% proof vodka based on natural spring water, and other products.

Taking into account the epidemic situation, the companies participate in the expo remotely. Business negotiations with Chinese partners are supposed to take place remotely as well.

In January-October 2021 Belgospishcheprom companies shipped $13.4 million worth of merchandise to China. The top sellers included sugar, confectionery products, fat-and-oil products, and distilled spirits. The export of oat flakes and confectionery products more than doubled in January-October 2021, with the export of alcohol products up by 1.3 times.
