MINSK DISTRICT, 6 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Industry Minister Piotr Parkhomchik met with Russian Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov in the course of events of the international industrial expo Innoprom taking place in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg, representatives of the Industry Ministry told BelTA.
Piotr Parkhomchik and Denis Manturov shared information about the current situation in the manufacturing sector and summed up results of fulfillment of previous agreements. Topical aspects of interaction with regard to the realization of investment projects, mutual supplies of products as part of import substitution work, further advancement of manufacturing cooperation and industrial integration in the Union State of Belarus and Russia were also discussed.
The meeting resulted in the signing of a memorandum on recognizing manufacturing operations being carried out in the territory of the Union State of Belarus and Russia, including for the sake of enabling equal terms of access to subsidizing programs. The memorandum stipulates that the relevant intergovernmental agreement would be signed within one month.
Piotr Parkhomchik and Denis Manturov also agreed it is necessary to step up preparations for signing an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the development of microelectronic technologies and an intergovernmental agreement on the common industrial policy.
