Belarusian Rechitsadrev steps up exports to Russia's Nizhny Novgorod

RECHITSA DISTRICT, August (BelTA) – Rechitsadrev is increasing supplies of board products to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast of Russia, Rechitsadrev's director general Dmitry Butkovsky told the media on the sidelines of a meeting with senior officials of the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast representative office in Belarus, BelTA has learned.

Dmitry Butkovsky lauded the historical and geographical ties with Russian regions. In the light of sanctions companies acted fast and redistributed commodity flows. Focus is on time-tested Russian and Asian markets. "Our board products are already known in this market. Therefore, now the task is to gain a foothold and to maintain the volume of supplies to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast and other regions of Russia. A large company has already shown interest in our products today. I hope that we will maintain our exports in terms of line-up, volume and quality. We are exploring new markets for plywood, furniture and fuel briquettes," he said.

For its part, Rechitsadrev is looking to purchase cutting tools from Russia. Imports from the European segment are currently impractical due to high financial costs. "Two contracts on trial deliveries are in the pipeline, one of them is with a company from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. We will test them and see the result," he said.

Andrei Dudkin, the head of the representative office of the Nizhny Novgorod region in Belarus, is busy studying the potential for interaction. Points of contact were also outlined in the woodworking industry.

OAO Rechitsadrev manufactures high-quality furniture, fittings and upholstery using modern, environmentally friendly and durable materials.
