MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarusian Railways will hold a roundtable session in Astana on 20 October. The session is supposed to promote the transportation and logistic potential of Belarusian Railways for transporting foreign trade cargoes to and from Kazakhstan, BelTA has learned.
The roundtable session will take place at premises of the Belarusian embassy in Kazakhstan and will be chaired by Head of Belarusian Railways Vladimir Morozov. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kazakhstan Pavel Utyupin, top managers of Kazakhstan Temir Zholy and its daughter enterprises, representatives of Kazakh national associations and unions of transport companies, forwarding companies and shipping companies, the largest export companies, and other parties will take part in the roundtable session.
The event has been organized to discuss and advance existing logistic projects, expand cooperation with clients, look for new promising avenues of development of transportation. It has been organized taking into account the demand of representatives of the private sectors of Kazakhstan and Belarus for contacts about matters of railway logistics, which were previously limited to a certain degree by COVID-19 prevention measures.
Participants of the roundtable session are expected to discuss transportation and logistic solutions of current interest and exchange opinions and proposals concerning the development of freight transportation between Belarus and Kazakhstan.
