Belarusian Potash Company to supply 800,000t of potash fertilizers to India at $247 per tonne

MINSK, 29 January (BelTA) – Belarusian Potash Company signed a contract with the Indian company IPL to supply potash fertilizers to India at the price of $247 per tonne, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarusian Potash Company.

“Belarusian Potash Company and IPL, its long-term strategic partner in India, successfully concluded the negotiations and signed a new annual contract to supply 800,000 tonnes of potash fertilizers to the Indian market at the price of $247 per tonne on CFR terms,” the press service said.

“Belarusian Potash Company and IPL understand the importance of such a contract for both the Indian and international potash markets. This is why they reached the agreement that will contribute to the stability of the global potash market and potentially higher prices in the future,” the press service added.

Belarusian Potash Company stressed that the contract is based on the high level of mutual trust and respect as well as the common vision of the market and its balanced and sustainable development.

The previous contract between the two companies was signed in May 2020, with the price at $230 per tonne.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belarusian Potash Company was established in 2013. It is the exclusive exporter of potash fertilizers made by OAO Belaruskali. The BPC has maintained confident leadership on the world market of potash fertilizers for years. Since its establishment, the BPC has sold Belarusian potassium to almost 140 countries.
