Belarusian Potash Company to sell potash fertilizers to China at $247 per tonne

MINSK, 10 February (BelTA) – Belarusian Potash Company and China have agreed on supplies of Belarusian potash fertilizers to China at the price of $247 per tonne, BelTA learned from the press service of Belarusian Potash Company.

“On 10 February, Belarusian Potash Company reached an agreement with the consortium of Chinese customers (Sinochem, CNAMPGC, CNOOC) on the contract price of $247 per tonne,” the press service noted.

This price has been set for 2021 with the delivery time until 31 December 2021.

Belarusian Potash Company believes that this agreement is “another logical step towards the stabilization of the international potash market and a positive sign for further rise in prices in other regions.”

“Signing the new contract with China after the recent contract with India lays the solid groundwork for a stable demand for potash and for positive price dynamics. Belarusian Potash Company is grateful to the consortium of Chinese customers for the agreements that reflect the situation in the market and stimulate its future balanced development,” the press service added.

The public joint-stock company (OAO) Belarusian Potash Company was established in 2013. It is the exclusive exporter of potash fertilizers made by OAO Belaruskali. The BPC has maintained confident leadership on the world market of potash fertilizers for years. Since its establishment, the BPC has sold Belarusian potassium to almost 140 countries. China is the largest consumer of potash in the world. The companies of the consortium of Chinese customers are long-standing partners of Belarusian Potash Company.
