Belarusian PM tours aerial work platform plant in Vitebsk

VITEBSK, 28 August (BelTA) – Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko toured the machine-building enterprise Vitstroytechmash and got acquainted with its production facilities, BelTA has learned.

The prime minister examined Vitebsk aerial work platforms and found out how the enterprise's workshops worked. Andrei Sidorov, director of the enterprise, noted that in Belarus some types of machines are produced only here, such as aerial work platforms with the operating height of 52 meters. He emphasized that almost all enterprise's profits are invested in development and modernization. Vitstroytechmash is finishing the construction of a paint shop, repairing the new premises purchased to expand the product line.
Roman Golovchenko inquired about the utilization of the company's production capacities. Andrei Sidorov said that the company is operating at 60% capacity on average, but there is room for growth. He also noted that most of the products are exported, including import-substituting ones. The plant's partners include the leading machine-building companies of Belarus and Russia.
The prime minister also asked how the plant controls the products quality. Andrei Sidorov underlined that after assembly every vehicle is tested and then returned for inspection. Roman Golovchenko watched how Vitebsk aerial work platforms oeprate and how reliable they are.
