Belarusian PM arrives in Russia's Ufa on working visit

MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) - Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko arrived in Russia's Ufa on 20 September, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian delegation is scheduled to attend the international transport and construction congress, to visit the largest enterprises of Bashkortostan and to hold negotiations with the leadership of the region. The parties are set to sign specific cooperation agreements.

According to the press service of the government, in Ufa the Belarusian delegation will attend a ceremony to launch a dealer center for trucks of Minsk Automobile Plant and Dorelectromash and a ceremony to break ground for a plant to manufacture AMKODOR machines and equipment for post-harvest grain processing.

As it has been reported, the Belarusian government delegation headed by the prime minister is visiting Ufa and Kazan on 20-22 September. The Belarusian delegation includes representatives of various ministries and departments, heads of such Belarusian enterprises as MTZ, MAZ, Belkommunmash, AMKODOR, and Horizont.

In January-July the trade between Belarus and Bashkortostan amounted to $214.9 million. Exports totaled $ 90.9 million. Belarus' major exports are boards, sheets, plastic films, amino-aldehyde, phenolaldehyde resins and polyurethanes, refrigerators, freezers and refrigerating equipment, fiberglass and products from it, trucks, fiberboard, cheeses and cottage cheese. Polycarboxylic acids and their derivatives, vinyl chloride polymers, carbonates, hydroxides and peroxides of sodium and potassium are Belarus' major imports from Bashkortostan.
