Belarusian petrochemical industry encouraged to expedite implementation of investment programs

SVETLOGORSK, 1 August (BelTA) – Belarusian petrochemical industry enterprises should implement investment programs ahead of schedule. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Piotr Parkhomchik set the relevant tasks at an offsite session of the Board of the Belarusian state petrochemical concern Belneftekhim, BelTA has learned.

Representatives of Belarusian petrochemical industry enterprises, including SvetlogorskKhimvolokno, Gomel Chemical Plant, the oil refinery Naftan, Mozyr Oil Refinery, Grodno Azot, took part in the session of the Belneftekhim Board to discuss prospects of development and the implementation of investment projects.

Piotr Parkhomchik said: “We talked about ways to somehow expedite the investment schedules we’ve approved today in order to hit targets and accomplish goals ahead of schedules, ahead of our projections. Executives show understanding and the desire to accomplish the task.”

The deputy prime minister also encouraged petrochemical industry enterprises to keep up the pace on par with H1 2024 performance. “This decision was appreciated. We will see how the enterprises will be able to accomplish the increased tasks,” he added.

The Belneftekhim Board session took place at premises of OAO SvetlogorskKhimvolokno. An exhibition was also organized at the site to showcase the main stages of development of Belneftekhim enterprises over 30 years, present major investment projects, and innovative goods.
