STAVROPOL, 28 November (BelTA) – MTZ occupies two thirds of the tractor market in Stavropol Territory, Russian Federation, BelTA learned from Taras Murog, Director General of Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark).
A Belarusian delegation led by Head of the Belarus President Administration Dmitry Krutoi is visiting the city of Stavropol today. The economic agenda and cooperation between Belarusian and Russian industrial enterprises are the focus of attention. The itinerary included a trip to OOO MTZ-Stavropol Trading House.
“Without a doubt Stavropol Territory needs tractors. MTZ accounts for 69% of the vehicles in this region. We will shape demand for 2026 and are going to negotiate to ensure a definite leap forward next year. This is one of the most fertile regions, this is why in terms of tractors it is one of the most interesting regions for us,” the MTZ CEO said.
In his words, Stavropol Territory has its own specific preferences in terms of the model range, which are taken into account by the manufacturer. “We also actively cooperate with the neighboring region – Krasnodar Territory – where vineyards are available. Therefore, the main thing is to move forward. The speed of decision-making is very important,” the MTZ director general noted.
He drew attention to competition with Chinese manufacturers. “It will be complicated. But we are competitive thanks to traditional components: quality, price, and reliability. We need to add speed of decision-making,” Taras Murog emphasized.
A multibrand trade and service center for Belarusian machines, vehicles, and equipment opened in Rostov Oblast on 27 November. All key Belarusian manufacturers and suppliers are represented at the center under the Belarusian Machines brand. “The idea is very good. I am sure that it will definitely be a plus. In one location you can buy technology right away and not just from a specific manufacturer. You will be able to buy a whole range of Belarusian machines and vehicles at once,” the director general noted.
He spoke at length about the operation of OOO MTZ-Stavropol Trading House. “This is one of our best-performing trading houses. It works directly with end consumers in Stavropol Territory. It not only sells, but also provides aftersales service. I would like to note the large number of regional spare parts warehouses and the speed with which defects are repaired. Based on the experience gained in this region, we will develop our work in other regions of Russia,” Taras Murog concluded.
There are plans to expand the trading house’s territory. The Stavropol Territory governor has given the relevant instruction.
OOO MTZ-Stavropol Trading House was established in 2004.
