MINSK, 21 August (BelTA) - The Belarusian tractor manufacturer MTZ is considering the possibility of organizing a tractor assembly facility in Pakistan, MTZ First Deputy Director General Sergei Avramenko told the media following the visit of Pakistan’s parliamentary delegation to the enterprise on 21 August, BelTA has learned.
Joint and assembly production is a worldwide trend. “Relevant local legislative acts are developed to encourage the process. We are also looking at these matters in respect to Pakistan. As an exporter to almost all continents of the globe, we have a number of technical standard solutions that imply the creation of assembly plants from 500 to 10,000 units per year. Therefore, we have the component technical base. The choice of the site, financial support opportunities and other issues will be solved together with our partners,” Sergei Avramenko said.
The parliamentary delegation of Pakistan is visiting Belarus at the invitation of the House of Representatives. The foreign delegation was shown modern samples of MTZ machinery, was taken through the production, and also saw the permanent exposition of the plant.
