MINSK, 29 October (BelTA) - Prospects of supplying BELARUS natural gas motor fuel vehicles to Russia’s Sakhalin Oblast were discussed at Minsk Tractor Plant (MTZ trademark) during the visit of Sakhalin Oblast Governor Valery Limarenko to the Belarusian enterprise on 29 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the plant.
“As the governor told us, Sakhalin Oblast plans to switch all municipal vehicles to gas motor fuel in the next few years. Minsk Tractor Plant is ready to join the project taking into account the experience the plant has accumulated in the production of gas-fueled tractors. Serial production of such vehicles has already been launched at the MTZ-Tatarstan manufacturing and trading company. Today we have identified several promising models at the exhibition,” MTZ Director General Sergei Avramenko said.
Valery Limarenko and the delegation from Sakhalin Oblast visited the MTZ tractor assembly shop, the BELARUS machinery exhibition and the plant’s museum and industrial center of labor glory.
