Belarusian PM to attend meeting of Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan

MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko will take part in an in-person meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Yerevan on 18-19 November, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.

The Belarusian prime minister is scheduled to hold working meetings with Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers - Head of the President Administration of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Zhaparov and Kazakhstan's Prime Minister Askar Mamin.

According to the EEC press service, the heads of government will discuss the mutual trade in 2020, joint forecasts for the development of the agricultural industry and for the supply and demand for agricultural products, foodstuffs, raw hides, wool, flax and cotton for 2021-2022 the measures to supply steel mills of the EAEU member states with raw materials in 2021-2024, the progress in the rapprochement of the positions of the EAEU states on the climate agenda.

The intergovernmental Council will also consider an agreement on the use of navigation seals in the EAEU for tracking shipments, a draft strategy for biological safety of the EAEU, electronic commerce, including the road map to develop it in the EAEU, the action plan to improve the provision of the EAEU states with strategically important drugs and pharmaceutical substances for medical use, the production of which should be provided in the EAEU before 2024.
