MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – A batch of five automobile cranes KS-6573BY with the lifting capacity of 40 tonnes has been delivered to Vietnam. The cranes were made by the Mogilevtransmash branch of the Belarusian automobile engineering company MAZ, the company's press service told BelTA.
The crane arm's cross-section is ovoid for the sake of better durability and rigidity. It enables precise movements during installation operations, during loading and unloading in confined spaces and in windy weather.
The crane is based on the MAZ-6516B9-460-001 chassis with a small restyled cabin and an 8x4 wheel arrangement. The engine is a 412hp Russian YaMZ-65101 (a Euro-4-compliant six-cylinder row engine). The crane uses a 16-speed gearbox from the German company ZF. Tires on the front pivoted axles are 315/80 R22.5 while those on the driving axles are 385/65 R22.5.
MAZ intends to ship more automobile cranes to Vietnam by the end of the year. Terms of the contracts are being negotiated.
