Belarusian MAZ presents new automobile crane at BUDEXPO 2021

MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) – The Belarusian automobile company MAZ has created its first automobile crane with an ovoid-profile lifting arm. The crane can lift weight as high as an eleven-story building. The new product was presented at the 23rd international architecture and civil engineering expo BUDEXPO 2021 in Minsk, the company's press service told BelTA.

The MAZ-5576BY-H-22 crane is a new-generation product. It is based on a 6x6 chassis and can travel along roads with the carrying ability of ten tonnes. It is driven by a 330hp Euro-5 engine while the nine-speed gearbox includes a pump for the emergency steering system.

The fully extended arm of the crane is 32.6m long. In its initial 10-meter-long configuration it can lift up to 32 tonnes. When extended by 11m, the arm can lift over 4 tonnes up to a height of up to 33m, which is twice as much as what the vehicle's CIS competitors can do. The crane can be used to lift weight as high as an eleven-story building. It saves space in urban construction sites.

According to Yuri Pivovarov, Head of the Utility Vehicles and Chassis Sales Office at MAZ, it is the first time the company has created an automobile crane with the lifting ability of 32 tonnes with an ovoid-profile lifting arm. The new product also offers an excellent value for money, the executive assured.

MAZ has already started commercial production of the new vehicle. It is expected to sell well in Belarus and other CIS states. The vehicle can operate in air temperatures up to 40C above zero and up to 40C below zero.
