MINSK, 24 May (BelTA) - Minsk Automobile Plant (MAZ) has opened its regional center MAZ-Yug in Rostov Oblast, Russia. This is the first pilot project of the flagship of the Belarusian automotive industry as part of the project to build a network of multifunctional centers in Russia's strategic locations, BelTA learned from the press service of the company.
Regional Center MAZ-Yug has been set up to stimulate sales of vehicles, promote the MAZ brand, and improve service support for vehicles of the Minsk Automobile Plant in the Southern and North Caucasian Federal Districts.
“The new modern complex is the next stage in the development of the distribution network of the Minsk Automobile Plant in Russia. The creation of its own branded MAZ technical center in Rostov Oblast will help monitor compliance with the plant's corporate standards and increasing the sales of spare parts under the MAZ brand. The project will also provide an opportunity to exclude the use of counterfeit products, increase the reliability of the vehicles of the Belarusian enterprise and, as a result, increase brand loyalty and also the sales of vehicles in the region,” the press service said.
The regional center will be a site for current repairs (with a total area of 700 square meters), combined with an aggregate site and auxiliary premises, and a washing area (140 square meters). The center will feature administrative premises with a customer waiting area, meeting rooms, warehouses for centralized storage of spare parts for subsequent sale through a service station, and also for wholesale and retail trade in a separate building. The grounds will have parking space for 68 cars.
The construction of the MAZ modern regional center meets the standards of the manufacturing plant and fully complies with the 3S concept - a sales department, a service center, and a department for the sale of spare parts.
