MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) - The Belarusian industry has reached the maximum level of sales profitability over the past 10 years, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Piotr Parkhomchik said at a joint session of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus on 23 November, BelTA has learned.
“If we talk about industry in general, the indicators of its development have been showing positive dynamics over the recent period of 2022: the balance of foreign trade in goods and services amounted to about $4 billion in January-September 2022. The maximum level of sales profitability has been reached over the last 10 years - 10.9%; net profit has increased by 14% to Br7.5 billion,” said Piotr Parkhomchik.
In his words, the number of unprofitable organizations decreased by 42 companies compared to the previous year.
“Revenue per employee was Br175,000, or up 9.8% year-on-year. Just to compare, revenue per employee was Br140,800 in general across the country. Nominal average monthly salary in industry in September was Br1,804, which is higher than the national level – Br1,637,” he added.
