MINSK, 24 January (BelTA) – The Belarusian agricultural machinery manufacturer Gomselmash is resuming shipments to Mongolia, Gomselmash Director General Aleksandr Novikov said before the meeting of the Belarus-Mongolia intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation on 24 January, BelTA has learned.

"Today we are going to sign a contract with the State Agricultural Corporation of Mongolia to ship 10 self-propelled mowers to that country. The previous deliveries were made in 2015, and today we are resuming our cooperation. At first, we will send 10 mowers, this will be a good way to introduce the Mongolian market to our equipment, and after that we might supply grain harvesting equipment that is in demand in Mongolia. We are optimistic about our prospects on this market, as its capacity is estimated at up to 300 units of self-propelled grain harvesters per year," said Aleksandr Novikov.

He also spoke about the company's economic performance and plans. "Production and export volumes are increasing. Our main markets are Russia and Kazakhstan. This year we also plan to resume deliveries to Africa, it is about 100 units of equipment," said the director general.

According to him, in the Year of Quality much attention will be paid not only to increasing the reliability of the machines, but also to enhancing comfort and working conditions for machinery operators. This will make the company's products even more competitive.
