MOSCOW, 14 October (BelTA) – The Republic of Belarus - Khabarovsk Krai. Prospects for Cooperation business forum took place in Khabarovsk, Russia, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian embassy in Russia.
“More than 130 entrepreneurs, officials and public activists from Belarus and Khabarovsk Krai took part in the two-day forum. They established mutually beneficial cooperation, presented the potential of their companies and territories to each other, and shared their business experience and plans for further development,” the press service said.
Members of the Belarusian delegation held about 70 business meetings with their counterparts from the Far East. “The parties discussed Belarus' deliveries of food products, special equipment, buses, trolleybuses and spare parts, as well as clothing and footwear, and also Khabarovsk Krai's supplies of planes, products of local power engineering and chemical industry, furniture and fish from the Far East,” the press service said.
Seven agreements on cooperation were signed. These included an agreement on cooperation between the Khabarovsk Krai Investment Attraction and Innovation Development Agency and the Administration of Mogilev Free Economic Zone, the Far East Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Export Support Center of Khabarovsk Krai and the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Khabarovsk and Belarusian tour operators and the Mogilevoblastourist travel agency.
“Belarusian representatives toured several factories in Khabarovsk to assess the prospects of cooperation with them. The first results of such cooperation have already been achieved - a MAZ service center has been established at the Khabarovsk Radio Technical Plant. A BELAZ service center will soon be set up in Khabarovsk as well,” the embassy said.
“Such personal visits give us an opportunity to see each other's needs and build new relationships. We have already achieved results in all areas of our cooperation. They can be multiplied,” Mogilev Oblast Vice Governor, head of the Belarusian delegation Ruslan Strakhar said after the visit.
